Balance

I don’t usually paint in symmetry. My work tends to move in one direction, following whatever I’m feeling that day. This piece was different. I kept thinking about my parents and the way they show up in my life. Two different energies. One is movement. The other is stillness. One reacts. The other steadies. Yet together, they create balance. This painting is about honoring that.
